The Howard Family lived at North Egliston Farm, Tyneham for 22 years from 1906 until 1928
Charles William Howard (1860-1928)
Charles was born on 26 November 1860 at Lower Bockhampton, Dorset. His parents were Suffolk-born William Howard (1821-1906), a dairyman, and his second wife Maria Howard nee Suttle (1825-1905).
Charles married Emily Alice Tewksbury (1861-1936) , known as Alice, at Portsea, Hampshire in 1887. Alice was born on 9 September 1861 at Portsea.
Charles and Alice had seven children, one of whom died shortly after birth:

- Francis Lee Suttle ‘Frank’ Howard (1890-1958) –

- Eva May Howard (1895-1972) – Eva was born on 13 September 1895 at Ringstead, Dorset – she married Percy Ernest Edgar Chilcott (1889-1985) at Tyneham on 28 April 1918
Charles was the brother-in-law of former farmer Frederick Thomas Way (1864-1943) and had taken over North Egliston Farm by 1906.
In 1917, Charles was elected as Overseer of the Poor.
Charles died at Tyneham on 28 November 1928. He was buried in Stratton churchyard on 1 December 1928. Alice later lived at Godlingston Farm and died on 14 April 1936 at the Cottage Hospital, Swanage. Alice was buried at Tyneham (in a very fancy grave).
Alice Daisy Maria ‘Daisy’ Howard (1892-1976)
Daisy lived at Blashenwell Farm, Kingston, Dorset. She married Harry Stephens at St Mark’s Church, Portsmouth on 23 August 1910 1. Harry was the son of the late John Stevens (1848-1915) and Mary Stevens nee Savage (1848-1898), of Eastington Farm, Swanage. By 1911 Harry Stephens was farming Blashenwell. He had then been married for less than a year to wife Daisy.
Harry Stevens served as a Private with the Dorsetshire Regiment, 2nd Battalion (service number 27367). Sadly Harry died aged 34 in captivity as a prisoner-of-war on 16 July 1917 at Basra Hospital after suffering sunstroke. He is commemorated at Baghdad (North Gate) War Cemetery, Iraq (grave/memorial reference XV. C. 11.) and also on the Swanage War Memorial and in the churches at Kingston and Worth Matravers churches.
Harry and Daisy had a son Laurie Howard Stevens (1912-2005) and twins May Howard Stevens and Edward Howard Stevens both of whom sadly died shortly after birth in 1914.
Laurie Howard Stevens (1912-2005)
Laurie Howard Stevens, known mostly as Howard, was born on 28 March 1912.
Howard married Nancy Marianne Farthing (1922–2006) at Church Knowle, Dorset on 15 July 1943. Nancy was born on 1 November 1922 in the Ealing area. Her father was Revd. Robert Farthing of St Peters, Church Knowle.

Laurie died Nancy died on 2 May 2006. She was buried at Church Knowle.
